Arrange to come with a responsible adult, licensed to operate a motor vehicle, who can accompany you to and from the center. That adult must stay at the center during your surgery.
It is important that you arrive promptly at Dulaney Eye Institute at your scheduled time.
Bathe or shower the morning of surgery to minimize the chance of infection. Do not wear perfume or cologne.
Male patients should shave in a normal fashion in the morning.
Women should remove all make-up.
Wear loose, casual clothing preferably open in the front and low-heeled shoes or slip-on shoes.
Bring a sweater in case the waiting room temperature is too cold for you.
Please leave any valuables and jewelry at home. Please bring all of your eye drops with you to the surgery center.
Remove all contact lenses. Bring your insurance cards, insurance forms, photo ID, referrals, and any medical information requested. Please complete the attached Medication Record and bring it with you on the day of your surgery.
